Southport Learning Partnerships

This year Kew Woods became part of the Southport Learning Partnership (SLP). The partnership was established five years ago and it is the largest and most diverse collaborative in the region with every phase represented from Nursery, Infant and Junior, to Secondary 11-16 and 11-18, including two Special Schools.

The Southport Learning Partnership comprises of 23 members and that includes LA Community Schools, Faith Schools, and Academies. A full meeting of SLP Headteachers takes place six times per year and there is an annual celebratory conference in July.

Most of SLP’s collective energy is devoted to activities which involve and benefit pupils. This year our School Council have worked collaboratively with other schools in the partnership to support our local libraries.

This term we are looking forward to our SLP Sports Week where we will be participating in lots of exciting and competitive sporting activities. We will keep you updated through our photo gallery and latest news!

Southport Learning Partnership is now contributing to the Southport Area Partnership, and with its large membership committed to collaborative working; future prospects for making an ever wider contribution to the Southport community is looking very positive!
