We were so busy in 2K yesterday that I didn’t have a chance to blog our fabulous scientific afternoon!

We started off with an investigation all about living things and their habitats. The children went on a hunt around our school grounds to find living creatures and discover what their habitat was. I can’t say the adults enjoyed finding the family of woodlice under a rock, (yuk), but the children loved it!!!

The children are so inquisitive and interested that we even managed to squeeze in another investigation, this time investigating our hand span! It was so interesting for the children to be able to predict, measure and compare each other’s hand spans and to test who could pick up the most cubes. We found that not all children with the biggest hands could grab the most cubes. It took determination, strength and a lot of grip!!
